LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was injured after a road rage incident ended in gunfire and a Louisville man charged with assault.Â
Louisville police responded to a report of a shooting around 11:25 Saturday morning in the 9800 block of Blue Lick Road, department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Mitchell said. A passenger in the victim's car was not injured.
Police determined the man was shot during a road rage incident and used FLOCK cameras to identify the driver of the suspected vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Daejon Horton.Â
According to his arrest citation, Horton admitted to driving the suspected vehicle and said he rented the car on May 1 from someone.
Horton is charged with assault and wanton endangerment, and is being held in Louisville Metro Corrections. He is due in court on May 4.
