LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after being stabbed in Louisville's Wyandotte neighborhood, police said.

Louisville Metro Officers responded about 8:01 p.m. to a report of a stabbing in the 900 Block of W. Evelyn Avenue, said spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed multiple times. Police said he was in "some type of altercation" with a woman before the incident. The woman fled the scene before officers arrived.Ā 

The man was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He appeared to be alert and conscious, police said.
