New $55M apartment complex under construction in Jeffersonville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Construction of a new apartment complex in Jeffersonville is underway.

The first phase of the $55 million development, The District, is almost complete, as reported by our partners at Louisville Business First.

Construction began about six months ago on the 288-unit apartment complex located on Thompson Lane. That's off of East 10th Street. The District will have a combination of one-bedroom, one-bath and two-bedroom, two-bath units.

Leasing will begin in July, but the first phase of the project won't be finished for another 12 to 16 months. The project is being completed in three phases, with four of the eight buildings currently under construction.

Amenities of the complex include a clubhouse, gym, pickleball courts, dog parks and walking trails. The units will have luxury vinyl plank flooring and quartz countertops.
