LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police are looking for suspects after a woman was found dead inside a home early Wednesday in the city's Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.
Officers were called to a report of a person down inside a home in the 6900 block of Sky Blue Avenue just after 1 a.m., according to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell. That's off Lower Hunters Trace and Dixie Highway.
Once on scene, police found a woman with "blunt force injuries." She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner identified the victim Thursday as 44-year-old Maria Elena Sanchez Orozco.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
