LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An Indiana woman is facing several charges after leading police on a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 65 Friday afternoon.
Several 911 callers reported to Clark County dispatch a Chevrolet Camaro speeding and weaving through traffic on I-65 Friday around 4:30 p.m., Indiana State police said in a release.
An ISP trooper found the Camaro near the 6.5-mile marker on I-65 and attempted to make a traffic stop, however, the car continued southbound at speeds between 120 and 130 mph, ISP said. The car's rear bumper was missing and there was no visible registration.
Additional officers responded, and the car stopped near the 3.8-mile marker on I-65.
Coda Simpson, 42, of Brookston, a town in north-central Indiana, was arrested and charged with resisting law enforcement, DUI and reckless driving. She is being held at the Clark County Jail.
