LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB/WAVE) — Former Indiana Department of Child Services family case manager Jade Wilson is facing criminal charges following an investigation by the Indiana Office of Inspector General, according to state officials.

The Clark County Prosecutor’s Office charged Wilson with two felony counts and multiple misdemeanors related to allegations of official misconduct and obstruction of justice as well as five counts of falsifying child abuse or neglect information or records.

Officials allege Wilson documented assessment activities that didn't occur. Each felony charge carries a possible penalty of up to 2½ years in prison under Indiana law.

"Our investigators’ diligence, combined with the cooperation of the Indiana Department of Child Services, uncovered evidence that warranted certifying these charges to the prosecutor," Indiana Inspector General Jared Prentice said. "The prosecutor's decision to move forward reinforces a simple but essential principle: integrity in state government is not optional, and those entrusted with ensuring the safety of our children must be held accountable when that trust is violated."

In addition, according to her Probable Cause Affidavit, during a performance review, Wilson wiped her state-issued phone and deleted her case entries from the system before leaving the building and not returning.

The case is set for jury trial July 28, 2026.
