LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A house fire in the Parkland neighborhood spread to a second home, displacing four people Friday evening.

Louisville Fire Department was dispatched around 6:40 p.m. for a house fire in the 2600 block of Virginia Avenue.

Crews encountered heavy fire conditions when they arrived, and the fire had spread to a neighboring home on the east side, according a LFD release. This prompted an "immediate, aggressive fire attack."

More than 40 firefighters worked quickly, and the blaze was under control by 7:23 p.m.

No injuries were reported, but three adults, one child and three dogs were displaced.

The Louisville Fire Department Arson Unit was called to the scene, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
