LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin is still fighting to get the judge removed in the case involving his estranged son.

Bevin's attorney filed more paperwork in his case Monday morning as attorneys await a decision from the chief justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court over the issue of whether Jefferson Family Court Judge Angela Johnson should be disqualified from the case.

Monday's filing says Johnson can't provide Bevin with a fair and impartial trial or hearing. Bevin's attorney argues he wanted the case to be sealed back in 2024.

Last month, JohnsonĀ issued an arrest warrantĀ for the former governor, but that warrant has since been recalled.Ā

Johnson had given Bevin an ultimatum to go to jail for two months or submit the records needed for child support for his adopted son, Jonah Bevin, and pay a $500 fine.

Jonah Bevin wants child support, and accused his parents of sending him to an abusive boarding school when he was a teenager.

There is no word on when a decision will be made on whether or not Johnson can stay on the case.

Johnson hasn't responded to a request for comment.
