LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana State Police and Kentucky State Police worked together to arrest a couple for infant abuse.
After a joint investigation, KSP arrested 21-year-old Aurora Hamilton and 18-year-old Benjamin Reale, both of Smiths Grove.
KSP said they received a call from ISP about a 2-month-old infant who had been dropped off on April 23 at a family member's home in Salem, Indiana, by the parents.
According to KSP, "due to the condition of the child," the family member took the infant to the hospital, and the infant was then airlifted to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville.
Hamilton and Reale were charged with criminal abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor.
A mugshot of Reale was not immediately available.
