LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a road rage shooting Tuesday evening on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that the incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. CT near the 113-mile marker. A motorcyclist riding a burgundy Harley-Davidson was traveling eastbound when a dark-colored SUV began pursuing the bike at a high rate of speed.
Investigators said the SUV attempted to force the motorcycle off the road, causing the rider lay the bike down in the slow lane and crash into a ditch near the emergency lane. A passenger then got out of the SUV and fired multiple rounds at the motorcyclist before getting back into the SUV and fleeing eastbound in the vehicle.
No injuries were reported, and none of the bullets struck the rider.
The shooter is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with an average build. He was wearing a red flannel shirt and blue jeans, and had shoulder-length hair.
“There are never winners in road rage incidents,” Sheriff Norman Chaffins said in a statement. “Too often, someone innocent is hurt or killed, and families are left with lifelong scars. It simply is not worth it because there are evil people among us that have no regard for the rights or safety of other people.”
