LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — More than 120 Kentucky workers will soon be out of a job as a logistics company ceases operations at multiple operations across the state.
The job losses will impact two Illinois-based Legacy Supply Chain facilities in Louisville — at 3925 Produce Road and 4000 Buechel Bank Road — along with a third site in Bowling Green at 570 Scotty’s Way.
Employee layoffs are scheduled for June 6 and are expected to be permanent, according to a WARN notice filed with the state.
In total, about 123 workers will be impacted, with the majority of job losses affecting transportation and yard operations roles, including drivers and yard personnel, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
The Buechel Bank Road location accounts for the largest share of layoffs — including yard drivers, gate administrators and supervisors — while the Produce Road site includes dispatchers and Class A drivers. The Bowling Green facility employs a smaller number of drivers.
Legacy Supply Chain did not provide a reason for the closures or indicate whether operations will be moved elsewhere.
