Earlier this year, redevelopment plans for Mid City mall were released, which included plans to find a development company to buy the property.

The Mid City Market project will likely feature a Publix grocery store and five retail buildings, but no residential building.

The meeting agenda for the Bardstown Road/Baxter Avenue Committee shows the developer made a request to tear down the building and replace it with five new buildings.
