LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman died after crashing her truck into a home Monday afternoon in southern Jefferson County.

Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded around 3:15 p.m., after a report of a truck that crashed into a building in the 6000 block of Cooper Chapel Road.

Police said a preliminary investigation shows the woman was driving on Cooper Chapel Road when, for an unknown reason, she lost control and crashed into a home.

No one was inside the home at the time of the crash.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the woman as 65-year-old Mary Larson. Police said she was taken to UofL Hospital, where she later died of blunt force trauma. No other vehicle was involved.
