LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was hospitalized after being found unconscious after a crash on Interstate 65 South in Louisville.

Louisville Metro Police responded to the area of Outer Loop near I-65 South about 4:35 p.m. Sunday to a report of a crash, said department spokesperson Adam Sears.

Sears said when officers arrived, they found an unconscious man. EMS transported the man to UofL Hospital. 

Due to the severity of his injuries, Sears said LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.

The ramp to Outer Loop from I-65 South was reopened about 9:30 p.m.
