LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Kentucky domestic violence organization will close its doors amid financial troubles.
The ZeroV member program SpringHaven, serving the Lincoln Trail Area Development District in the Elizabethtown area, will close June 30.
The change comes amid "financial instability," according to a news release.
SpringHaven has operated in the region for about 40 years, providing support and services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.
"During that time, the organization has made a tremendous positive impact on the lives of thousands of survivors and their children," a spokesperson said in a news release.Â
ZeroV said it is working with SpringHaven during the transition to maintain services for current clients and reduce disruptions.
According to ZeroV, survivors can seek services through member programs in neighboring area development districts, including The Center for Women and Families in Louisville and others throughout the state.
"Local communities can rest assured that survivors will continue to have access to essential domestic violence services through ZeroV member programs in neighboring area development districts," a spokesperson said in a news release.
