LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Bardstown, Kentucky, man and woman have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in a fentanyl and cocaine trafficking operation.

According to officials, 50-year-old Neal Scott Stone was sentenced to 30 and a half years in prison and ordered to pay a $40,000 fine.

Keely Logsdon, 42, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

The two were originally arrested in 2023.

According to prosecutors, from August 2022 through June 2023, Stone and Logsdon conspired to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl and cocaine across eight separate occasions.

Investigators said Stone, a truck driver, transported the drugs from the Southwest border and Mexico back to the Bardstown area for distribution.

Stone has multiple prior federal drug trafficking convictions, including cocaine-related charges in 2008 and cocaine and heroin distribution charges in 2015. Prosecutors said this made his sentence far more substantial.

There is no parole in the federal system.
