LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A popular Louisville Vietnamese restaurant will close its doors this fall.

Eatz Vietnamese said it would be closing after eight years in business, but its owners say the brand could return in a different form.

The restaurant said in a Facebook post it will close the Frankfort Avenue business Sept. 30 as its owner takes time to focus on his health, family and other ventures.

"Since opening on Barrett Avenue in 2018 and later moving to Frankfort Avenue, we have been incredibly grateful for the support of our Louisville community," the post read. "What started as a small dream grew into something far greater because of all of you. From busy lunch rushes and packed dining rooms, to familiar faces who became friends, every visit, kind word, and meal shared with us helped make Eatz what it is today."

However, the restaurant said it's exploring the idea of opening a smaller location or food truck in the future.

"While this chapter is coming to an end, we hope it may not be goodbye forever," the Facebook post continued. "Thank you for supporting us throughout the years and allowing us to be part of Louisville's story."
