LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An outdoor and sporting goods chain will close its location at the Paddock Shops in east Louisville after more than a decade in business.
Vermont-based Orvis told customers via mailers that it would be closing soon, but didn't list an exact date, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
The mailers noted a closing sale that began Oct. 16 at the store, LBF reported.Â
Earlier this month, the company said it planned to close more than 30 of its 70 stores across the country and five outlet stores by 2026. Its president blamed what he called the "unprecedented tariff landscape."
Along with the store closings, Orvis said it will also reduce its product offerings.
Orvis opened the Louisville location back in 2014.
