LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Bullitt County tattoo shop fired an employee, accusing them of celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk.

The Mt. Washington business is now setting the record straight after backlash.

Prevail Tattoo posted on its social media pages that a video shared to the artist's personal Instagram page showed them allegedly "laughing and celebrating" in response to the news of Kirk's death.

The business said "this person's actions do not reflect the values, beliefs, or standards of Prevail Tattoo. This individual is no longer affiliated with our shop."

The studio said it strives to be a safe place, but due to the video, the business and families of other artists and staff members have been getting threats.
