LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.
Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening the weekend of Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7.
2026 Portland Festival
Organizers say this year's annual Portland Festival is "shaping up to be" the biggest one yet.
The annual festival returns this weekend for its 52nd year. It consists of two days of food, music, rides, more than 150 vendors and local makers, a parade, a car show and more.
New this year is the "Best of the West" stage show. Organizers say it showcases some of the most talented artists and performers in the community.
Live music will be on the main stage, with artists such as The Ventura Band, Lindsey Lane Band, Shumate Blues Revival, Atomic Groove Machine and Off The Hook Indy.
The festival supports supports The Portland Festival, Inc. nonprofit and its mission to restore its historic building on Northwestern Parkway.
Admission to the festival is free, but pets are not allowed.
The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. Friday, June 5, with a festival kick-off, including live music and food until 11 p.m.
The festival parade is set for noon Saturday, June 6, starting at North 23rd Street and Portland Avenue, with the festival running from 1-11 p.m.
The Portland Festival is held at 3329 Northwestern Parkway.

Louisville GreekFest
It will be a feast for the senses at Louisville's Greek Festival this weekend at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
Guests can enjoy Greek foods, pastries, desserts and entertainment. You can also immerse themselves in live Greek music and learn a few Greek dances.
Witness captivating performances, cultural demonstrations and interactive activities that bring the spirit of Greece to Louisville
GreekFest takes place at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. The festivities start Friday, June 5 from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Southern Indiana Pride
Southern Indiana will celebrate Pride Month this weekend with its annual festival at a new venue.
This year's festival will be held Saturday, June 6, from 4-11 p.m. at the Central Green in Water Tower Square in Clarksville, Indiana.
Organizers say this year marks "an exciting new chapter as the festival moves to a more spacious and accessible venue, offering improved parking and an inclusive environment designed to welcome everyone."
The theme this year is "Inclusion."
Family-friendly activities start at 4 p.m. and run through 8 p.m., featuring more than 50 vendor booths and a Family Fun Zone.
Other highlights include a beer garden hosted by The Alcove, a gaming tent and a variety of food trucks.
Stage entertainment includes performances by Kentuckiana Marching Pride, Voices of Kentuckiana, local drag queens, Ghosted by Friday, Queens of Pride Bar, Bette's Burlesque and Born This Rave. Drag Daddy Productions will present a new show created especially for Southern Indiana Pride to close out the day.

Waggin' Tail on the Waterfront
The Kentucky Humane Society will host its 32nd annual Waggin Tail on the Waterfront this weekend.
It's set for Sunday, June 7, from noon to 4 p.m. at Waterfront Park's Festival Plaza, 231 Witherspoon St.
It's the largest celebration of animals in the region and raises funds for the Kentucky Humane Society's mission helping dogs, cats and horses in our community.
KHS said more than 1,000 animal lovers attend the event every year with their furry friends.
There will be face-painting, puppy cuddling, craft beers and food trucks, as well as dog portraits and tattoos.
Dogs are welcome, but must be up-to-date on vaccines and remain on a leash during the event.
Last year's event raised more than $100,000, adding to its cumulative total of nearly $2 million raised for KHS since 1998.
Organizers are reminding people to make sure their pups are updated on their vaccines and remain on a leash during the event.
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Family four-pack ticket packages are available for $25.

Derby Festival ParadeFest
Derby season may be over, but the Kentucky Derby Festival isn't quite finished with all the fun.
Everyone is invited to take part in ParadeFest on Saturday, June 6, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Zoeller Pump Company at 3649 Cane Run Road.
The family-friendly event includes inflatables, a bounce house, obstacle course, face painting, food trucks and more.
The parade is free to attend.
